Late Mr. Anendah Hilehongo

Founder, Anendah group of schools

A.M.C.A CREW: Good day Sir, we are students of English and Literally studies, A.M.C.A and we are here to have a word with you.
Proprietor: Thank you all. You are welcome and it’s also a privilege to be interviewed by my students.

A.M.C.A CREW: Sir, may we know about you?
Proprietor: I am Arch. Anendah Samuel Wanbegha, I was born here in Adikpo. I attended Anendah Memorial Nursery and Primary School Adikpo and we were the first set of the school. I did my secondary school at St. Andrew’s Secondary School, Adikpo and Emmanuel Secondary School, Ugbokolo all in Benue State. I proceeded to read Architecture in the University of Jos and also had my Master of Science Degree in the same institution. After my graduation, I worked with Benue State Ministry of works and Housing before moving to Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (Now, Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi). I am presently the head of Architectural services in the department of Physical Planning. I’m also the proprietor of this school. I’m married with four children.

A.M.C.A CREW: When was the school established Sir? And what was the motive behind setting up the school?
Proprietor: Anendah Memorial College was established in September, 2009 by Mrs. Hannah Mbakoson Anendah . The motive for the establishment was basically to bring education and necessary skills to students in the community and beyond. The fundamental purpose was and has been to ensure that members of our society have basic and quality education that will prepare them for challenges and opportunities for the future. Aside providing quintessential knowledge that young pupils need to excel in the outside world, we also aim at providing sense of responsibility and capability in our students.

A.M.C.A CREW: Has the school achieved any tangible success since the establishment Sir?
Proprietor: Yes, the school has achieved tangible success. We have successfully produced quality people who have also successfully graduated in higher institutions in the country and are doing very well in various fields of their carriers. Some are providing quality leadership in places they have found themselves today. I’m also glad that our teachers who are expected to teach at high levels of effectiveness have reached the level of expectations. We have achieved over 80% of our targets and skill and we are working towards getting to the zenith. Students performance have been shown to improve.

A.M.C.A CREW: What is the reason behind this success Sir?
Proprietor: The reason behind our success is the existence of set goals and direction. Obviously, envisioning the future and acting accordingly provide a straight pathway to progress. The first and foremost thing for a leader to do is to set vision and goals and this is exactly what we have done. The visions and goals must be transferable and the principal has been able to articulate it clearly and comprehensively.

Another reason behind our success is collaboration with the community. We have also tried to identify and integrate resources and services from the community to strengthen school programs, students learning and development. We have also realized the importance of parents’ role in the success of our school and have not hesitated in including them in some decisions. The quality and efficiency of our teachers have also effectively contributed to the development and successes achieved in the school. I am most grateful for all the sacrifices that have made all along.

Creation of the entire universe and its fullness is the handwork of the Almighty God. This was not done to exist in vacuum hence the creation of man on the 6th day. Man was initially created to work less but live more to praise the Almighty God. Disobidience of man however compelled God to change His initial plan to man thereby making a declaration that "out of your sweet you shall eat".
The early man lived more from hand to mouth depending heavily on naturally endowed foods, stream water, animal skin for his clothing etc. with increased procreation population...read more >>
